Position Overview:

M Group of Companies is a well-established property management company seeking a responsible, reliable, and community-oriented Live-in Relief Superintendent to oversee one residential property in Penetanguishene. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on creating a safe, positive, and welcoming living environment for our residents.


Key Responsibilities

As a Live-in Relief Superintendent, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Tenant Relations: Be the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Building Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the property and report on the condition of common areas, parking lots, and other facilities. Coordinate or complete minor maintenance tasks and ensure timely repairs by contractors as needed. Carry out grounds maintenance as required (may include snow removal or grass cutting).
  • Leasing & Administration: Assist in the leasing process, including showing units, completing rental agreements, and handling documentation. Keep accurate records of tenant information, payments, and leases.
  • Enforcing Policies: Ensure tenants comply with building rules and regulations, addressing issues such as noise, cleanliness, and safety violations.
  • Safety & Security: Oversee the security of the building, including ensuring security systems are functioning, and promptly responding to any emergencies or incidents.
  • Reporting: Maintain regular communication with the property management team, providing updates on building operations, occupancy, and maintenance needs.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in property management, maintenance, or customer service is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with tenants.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to be on-call for emergency situations.
  • Basic computer skills (email, property management software, Microsoft Office).
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience working in residential property management or as a Resident Manager is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of local rental laws and regulations is an asset.
