Part-Time Music Teacher to join our team.

General Description: St. Edward's Catholic School is seeking a part-time Music teacher who will foster a positive, faith-filled environment while helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts, music, performance, and creative expression. The Music teacher supports the mission and philosophy of the school, follows diocesan and school policies, and collaborates with staff to provide a well-rounded educational experience for all students.
Schedule and Position Details:
- Part-Time Elementary Music Teacher
- Hours: One HALF Day a Week
- Duration: For the 2026-2027 school year
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music instruction for students in Preschool through Grade 8.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, participation, respect, and a lifelong appreciation of music.
- Prepare students for school liturgies and special performances, coordinating music that supports the mission and traditions of the school.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to integrate music into school events, cross-curricular learning opportunities, and community celebrations.
- Contribute to a clean, organized physical classroom environment, creating a welcoming place for students to learn
- Maintain and care for music classroom resources, including instruments, sheet music, technology, and other instructional materials.
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and colleagues, demonstrating flexibility, confidentiality, and a commitment to positive relationships.
- Support the mission and Catholic identity of St. Edward Catholic School by modeling Christian values, participating in faculty meetings and professional development, and contributing positively to the school community.
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and promoting health and wellness
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; positive and supportive team member
- Teaching certification preferred, but not required
