About the Role
NuvemRx is seeking an exceptional Part -Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our pharmacy located at 1 South Creek Drive, Monticello , Kentucky. This is a Part-Time, on-site role with a (four day work week schedule ). The pharmacy hours are 8:30AM - 5:00PM) closed nights, weekends and most federal holidays. This successful pharmacy technician must be flexible to work during the morning hour (4) days per week.
You will play a vital role in supporting our patient population and ensuring every patient receives accurate, compassionate, and efficient pharmacy care.
What You'll Do
Prescription Processing & Patient Service
  • Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department.
  • Receive prescriptions, verify validity, and process them electronically with complete accuracy.
  • Select appropriate medications, measure dosages, and fill prescriptions per protocol.
  • Resolve issues when they arise, including rejected insurance claims.
  • Communicate directly with Spanish-speaking patients to address their questions and prescription needs.
  • Answer incoming calls for prescription orders and refills; make outgoing follow-up calls to patients and triage calls as needed.
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and provide a caring service experience that exceeds patient expectations.

Operations & Compliance
  • Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
  • Sort, stock, label medications, and monitor inventory.
  • Package orders, coordinate medication delivery, and prepare shipments with courier or shipping services.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescription claims.
  • Assist pharmacist with clinical and non-clinical operations; document and report quality issues appropriately.
  • Maintain compliance with all security measures, quality standards, HIPAA, HITECH, and FWA credentialing requirements.
  • Undertake administrative tasks (e.g., record-keeping) as assigned.

What You Bring
Core Capabilities
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or successful completion of a pharmacy technician program, if required in the state of practice.
  • At least one year of proven experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Knowledge of medication and dosage calculations, pharmacy law, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a reliable, detail-oriented approach.

  • Experience with Micro Merchant pharmacy systems.
