Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Hot Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining hot press machines used in the production of diamond Segments This role is crucial in sintering of diamond segments to ensuring the overall quality of the finished product.
Responsibilities include:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor hot press machines according to specifications
  • Load materials (Green segments, ) into frames and then the frames into the hot press.
  • Program and adjust press parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time)
  • Monitor the pressing process to ensure proper bonding and quality
  • Perform regular maintenance and basic troubleshooting on hot press equipment
  • Inspect finished segments for defects or bonding issues
  • Record production data and maintain logs
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position interacts with other manufacturing personnel, project managers, and area supervisor.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience operating industrial machinery, preferably in manufacturing
  • Understanding of hot press processes and heat-based bonding principles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work orders
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface operation

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

EQUIPMENT USED
This position will use hot press machines, temperature control systems, pressure control systems, cooling systems, control systems, material handling equipment, inspection equipment, data entry devices, maintenance tools, and safety equipment.
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
This position works on the manufacturing floor. They must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
