Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Jewelry CAD Modeler to work closely with our lead designer in transforming approved jewelry concepts and sketches into precise, production-ready 3D CAD models. This position focuses on technical execution rather than creative design, ensuring all models are accurate, manufacturable, and ready for rendering, prototyping, and production.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 3D CAD models from designer sketches, renderings, and specifications.

  • Build production-ready files for rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, and custom jewelry pieces.

  • Ensure proper stone placement, settings, metal thicknesses, and structural integrity.

  • Prepare files for 3D printing, casting, and manufacturing.

  • Make revisions based on designer feedback and production requirements.

  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to resolve technical challenges.

  • Maintain organized CAD files and project documentation.

  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar jewelry CAD software.

  • Experience creating production-ready jewelry models.

  • Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, including casting and stone setting.

  • Ability to interpret sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and time-management abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in custom jewelry production.

  • Knowledge of gemstone setting techniques and manufacturing tolerances.

  • Experience preparing files for 3D printing and rapid prototyping.

Success in This Role

The ideal candidate is highly technical, detail-oriented, and capable of accurately translating a designer's vision into manufacturable CAD models while minimizing production revisions and maintaining design integrity.
