Description
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEEDS TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.
Essential Functions
• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient's medical records
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician's office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.
SCHEDULE: 3 Days/Week
Requirements
LPN Specialist requirements are: Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
