ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida has been serving the needs of our patients for 62 years. Join us and experience what it's like to take pride in being part of a dynamic team that is on the cutting edge.We are currently seeking a part-time Medical Front Desk Representative. We are open Monday - Thursday, 8:00-5:00 and Friday, 8:00-2:00 with the position being flexible in the days with a range of 15-17 hours per week. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.Description:This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with strong customer service skills. Prior Medical front desk experience is required. The ideal candidate must be organized and multitasking oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, phone calls and charts. Must be a self-starter, have EMR and medical records, check in and check out experience preferred and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Audiology field.Responsibilities:Providing superior customer service to all patients and guestsAnswer multi-line phonesGreet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary dataProvide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.Insurance VerificationSchedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availabilityMaintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHRCall patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site servicesProvide patients with support and guidance as neededRequirements:Preferred 1-year previous experience in a medical practice.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.The ability to work in a team environment.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Strong computer literacy.Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.Physical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTAAF offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 10 pounds.
