Job description

Job Title: Clinical Research DermatologistLocation: Tucson, AZSchedule: Part-Time (0-8 hours/week)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are seeking a board-certified Dermatologist to join as a Clinical Research Dermatologist. In this role, you will oversee protocol compliance, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with sponsors, CROs, and cross-functional teams to support Phase I-IV clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator (Sub-I) for dermatology and multi-therapeutic clinical trials

  • Conduct medical screenings, dermatological assessments, and physical examinations for study participants

  • Provide clinical oversight and ensure patient safety in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP, and regulatory guidelines

  • Collaborate with study coordinators, nurses, and research staff to maintain compliance and accurate documentation

  • Document patient interactions, adverse events (AEs/SAEs), and maintain records in EHR/EDC systems

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, CROs, monitors, and IRBs

  • Participate in site initiation visits (SIVs), monitoring visits, and audits

  • Contribute to protocol feasibility, study design input, and patient recruitment strategies

  • Attend investigator meetings and provide clinical expertise on dermatology endpoints and safety monitoring

  • Stay up to date with clinical research regulations and advancements in dermatology


Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. with an active, unrestricted Arizona medical license

  • Board-certified in Dermatology

  • Valid DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification

  • Prior clinical research/trial experience preferred (training available for suitable candidates)

  • Proficiency in EHR systems and clinical trial platforms (EDC, CTMS)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

  • Commitment to ethical research practices and patient-centered care
