Location:
Spanish Fork, UT
Pay:$19.00 - $23.00 an hour
Schedule:Tues, Wed, Thurs
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented part time Medical Assistant to support the day-to-day healthcare needs of the students we serve. This role is vital to ensuring students receive timely, accurate, and empathetic medical care in a collaborative clinical environment. If you are passionate about patient support, organization, and being part of a mission-driven team, this is a meaningful opportunity to make an impact.
Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to reports of illness, pain, or medical emergencies and assess student needs
  • Determine when students require placement on sick bed due to illness or discomfort
  • Accompany students to medical appointments and communicate outcomes to parents and the Nurse Manager
  • Obtain and record vital signs and student weights as assigned
  • Accurately administer medications and document all activity in the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
  • Count, track, and document narcotics at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Observe and chart student mood, behavior, and affect, particularly when new medications are initiated
  • Coordinate and assist with laboratory draws and medical testing
  • Administer, read, and document Tuberculosis (TB) tests
  • Communicate relevant medical information to the treatment team and psychiatrist verbally and in writing
  • Perform additional clinical or administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Active Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Prior nursing or clinical experience preferred, but not required
  • New graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
