What is a part time medical coder?

A Part Time Medical Coder is responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning standardized codes for diagnoses and procedures to ensure accurate billing and insurance claims. They use classification systems like ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. This role is typically performed remotely or in a healthcare setting, with flexible hours.
