Responsibilities
Schedule: Three days per week 8a-4:30p, days of the week will rotate.

Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider - physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner - in the medical office setting. Responsibilities of the role includes:

Administrative Functions:
• Taking patients to rooms
• Greeting patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Scheduling appointments
• Assisting with medical procedures
• Answering phones
• Performing phlebotomy
• Clerical & computer work
• Obtaining lab specimens
• Prior authorizations
• Adhering to safety and infection guidelines
• Billing and coding
• Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR)
• Faxing
• Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations
• Disability & Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork
Qualifications
Required:
  • Graduate of a medical assistant program (or) One year as a Medical Assistant
