Senior Water Design Manager

Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water Design Manager to join our Resilience Water Team with 10 or more years' experience in planning, design and/or construction of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump station projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to support one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country.

As the Senior Water Design Manager, you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to successfully lead and manage municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure, treatment plants and pump station projects across Florida. This position offers significant growth opportunities for advancement as you manage technical delivery of projects and build strong client relationships.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Lead the technical execution of pump station work and provide technical leadership to our team to deliver successful projects.
  • Serve as lead designer and/or design manager of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants, pump stations, and hydraulic structures such as intakes and/or gate projects.
  • Exercising engineering judgement to develop solutions to complex water infrastructure challenges.
  • Coordinate with clients, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams during all project phases, from schematic design to construction.
  • Engage in our national process mechanical practice, serve as a technical resource for the region, and provide mentoring of junior engineers to grow our team's capabilities in South Florida.
  • Participate in Arcadis' quality culture by performing quality assurance and control reviews of water infrastructure.
  • Establishing client relationships and supporting pump station marketing and pursuit efforts.
  • Scoping and budgeting tasks for water infrastructure projects.

Required qualifications include:

  • 10 years of pump station design experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Key skills and attributes include:

  • Excellent technical engineering in design of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump stations.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills.
  • Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client.
  • Functional experience with MS Office applications.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $95,000-$180,000/year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
