Position: Cart Staff
Department: Keith Hills
Status: Part Time
Position Summary:
The Cart Staff member at Keith Hills Golf Club & Learning Academy provides a positive and professional experience for all Keith Hills patrons by meeting the needs of the day-to-day operation, while personally meeting the needs of each customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attend to all golf cart fleet needs to include:
    • Staging carts in the morning according to daily needs.
    • Monitoring cart return and pulling carts into work area in a timely manner.
    • Washing and cleaning carts after use.
    • Assessing carts for damage, and informing supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Staging carts with proper scorecards, pencil and sand in divot bottles.
    • Parking and plugging in carts for charging.
    • Turning carts after rounds as needed by demand in a timely manner.
  • Attend to all practice facility needs including:
    • Picking/cleaning balls from the practice facility area daily.
    • Transporting, washing and sorting balls.
    • Filling range machines with balls.
    • Putting out and taking up flags on the practice facility, morning and evening respectively.
    • Maintaining sand in bottles and filling divots on the course and practice facility.
    • Tournament setup and take-down of signage, tables, chairs and other needs.
    • Other jobs as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid NC driver's license required
  • Customer service experience and knowledge of golf course etiquette desired.

  • Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
  • Display a positive attitude, self-motivation, and a good work ethic
  • Demonstrate tact, courtesy and discretion in all interactions with visitors to Keith Hills, including members, Campbell University students, faculty, staff, university officials, and the public.
  • Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
  • Exercise good judgment in complex and new situations.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment.
