Math Teacher 7-12, Itinerant (Part-Time)
Position Details:
Location - This is a tri-county itinerant position currently based out of Mercyhurst Prep. This position will also provide services to other schools in the area.
Department: School Improvement Services - Federal and State Programs
Start Date: 2026-2027 school year
Salary: Bachelor's: $43.38/hour, Master's $45.96/hour, Master's +15 credits: $45.96/hour
PTO: 10 paid sick days, 1 Personal Day, 1 Emergency Day per school year (prorated based on start date)
Benefits: Eligible to purchase Dental & Vision Insurance at full premium at time of hire or open enrollment

Position Summary:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has a need for a Part-Time Math Teacher, working 18-29.5 hours per week with grades 7-12. This position is responsible to plan, provide, and implement skill-based interventions to students that will result in students achieving academic success. The Part-Time Math Teacher will work collaboratively with professional staff to implement a quality math program that meets the needs of students needing intervention by delivering small group instruction within established curriculum guidelines. This position will also be responsible for responding to a wide range of inquiries from student's parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
Required Qualifications:
  • PDE Certification Mathematics 7-12
  • Driver's license in your state of residence and reliable transportation

Successful applicants will be required to submit acceptable PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance and Federal History Clearance as well as complete forms Act 168 for current employer and any previous employer where the applicant worked directly with children. Additionally, a negative TB test will be required within 3 months of receipt of the test results by the IU.
