Job description

Core Hours

Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Purpose

Under direct supervision, performs the physical or administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This position requires the flexibility to function in all three areas: Material Handling, Shipping Clerk and Receiving Clerk:

Material Handler:

  • Verify quantities, lot numbers, and part numbers against documentation previously prepared.
  • Issue and move components, supplies and printed materials from the warehouse to meet manufacturing and intra-company requirements.
  • Stage raw materials for Issuance Group dispensing. Assist in raw materials dispensing as required.
  • Verify and receive materials returned from manufacturing in a timely manner.
  • Document in a timely manner material transactions on appropriate documentation and in computerized systems.
  • Manually or using forklift, move material within the warehouse areas and in and out of trucks.
  • Maintain warehouse areas in a clean and orderly state.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist the warehouse Supervisor / Director of Materials Management as requested
  • Participates in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to making waste determinations, waste packaging, container and tank management and inspection, and transfer of hazardous waste to and from storage. Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response.
  • Perform other various duties as assigned.

Shipping Clerk:

  • Prepare pharmaceutical product for shipment to contract manufacturers, clinical sites and customers both domestically and internationally.
  • Document in a timely manner shipment transactions on appropriate documentation and in computerized systems.
  • Provide accounting with documentation for invoicing.

Receiving Clerk:

  • Verify and receive delivered material in a timely manner.
  • Document in a timely manner received transactions on appropriate documentation and in computerized systems.
  • Work with accounting to close Purchase Orders for vendor payment.
  • Operate company vehicle as needed.
  • Perform necessary trips to other Tolmar facilities as needed.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Training in inventory control, warehousing, and shipping/receiving desirable.
  • Certification on a stand-up forklift desired.
  • One or more years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Valid CO Drivers license may be required.
  • Acceptable MVR may be required.

Working Conditions

  • Controlled indoor environment. Gowning to Tolmar’s Standard Operating Procedure requirements may include hairnet, shoe covers, lab jackets, nitrile or latex gloves, beard cover (if appropriate), safety glasses, and steel toed shoes.
