General Description
SUNY Niagara is seeking a Massage Therapy instructor to work within our Nursing, Physical & Allied Health Division. Successful candidates should be dedicated and motivated and will demonstrate commitment to student success through teaching and learning excellence.
Evening and weekend hours may be required
Remuneration for this position is: $1,008 per lecture hour/$903 per lab hour.
In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in any field
โ€ข Current NYS licensure as a massage therapist;
โ€ข Experience with multiple massage therapy modalities;
โ€ข Three years' of experience as a licensed massage therapist.
Desirable Qualifications
โ€ข Master's degree in an Allied Health field;
โ€ข Experience teaching massage therapy at the college level;
โ€ข Responsibility for administration of a massage therapy program at a higher education institution;
โ€ข Experience in the administration of a Spa.
