We are seeking a Refuel Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team. This position supports Refuel by Aloft, the hotel's convenient grab-and-go market and café concept offering guests fresh food options, beverages, coffee, and everyday essentials in a fast-paced, welcoming environment.
Position Summary
The Refuel Attendant is responsible for creating a positive guest experience by providing friendly service, preparing food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized outlet, and ensuring Refuel operates efficiently. This position serves as a key point of contact for guests and helps deliver Aloft's commitment to approachable, modern hospitality.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and enjoys interacting with guests while balancing service, preparation, and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
• Welcome and engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide knowledgeable assistance with menu items, beverages, products, and hotel amenities.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions and requests.
• Create a positive and memorable experience for guests utilizing Refuel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting guest-facing environment.
Food & Beverage Operations
• Prepare and serve food items, beverages, and coffee drinks according to established standards.
• Complete food preparation tasks including portioning, chopping, stocking, and organization of ingredients.
• Follow recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor product levels and restock food, beverage, and retail items as needed.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, dining areas, and service spaces.
Operational Support
• Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process guest transactions.
• Handle payments, receipts, and cash procedures according to hotel standards.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning checklists and station preparation.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Support other Food & Beverage operations as needed, including lobby service, table maintenance, and guest assistance.
• Follow all hotel safety, security, and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Preferred:
• Previous hospitality, restaurant, café, barista, or customer service experience.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems.
• Food handling certification or ability to obtain required certification.
• Experience preparing coffee beverages or working in a café environment.
Schedule Requirements
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
• The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Minimum availability of 16 hours per week required for part-time associates.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
• May be exposed to food products, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
