Job description

Position Overview
Essnova Solutions is seeking an experienced Consultant to support FEMA's National Training and Education Division and Training Partners Program. The Consultant will perform day-to-day research, evaluation, data-collection, analysis, process-development, and deliverable-support activities.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with evaluations of client processes, procedures, systems, and programs.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and collect relevant information.
  • Synthesize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Assist with the design of new client processes, models, or systems.
  • Prepare and support analyses, reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
  • Contribute to project schedules, milestones, and deliverable quality.
  • Coordinate with project personnel and government stakeholders.
  • Support FEMA training, preparedness, and emergency-management initiatives.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • At least eight years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
  • Experience conducting interviews, data collection, synthesis, and analysis.
  • Experience evaluating organizational processes, procedures, programs, or systems.
  • Experience assisting with professional reports, analyses, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction.
  • Proficiency with automated word-processing, graphics, and desktop-publishing systems.
  • Ability to qualify for a federal Public Trust background investigation.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A master's degree plus four years of general experience may satisfy the stated qualification structure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting FEMA, DHS, or another federal agency.
  • Emergency management, disaster preparedness, response, recovery, resilience, training, or exercise experience.
  • Federal management-consulting experience.
Additional Information
This position is contingent upon contract award. The anticipated workload is part-time and dependent upon government requirements. The selected candidate may be required to provide a letter of commitment.
