Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Worker (Part-Time with Seasonal Hours)

Location: Shakopee, Minnesota

Job Type: Part-Time (30 hrs./week, with potential for additional hours during high workloads in the Spring-Fall) Hours are typically 9 to 3 pm, however due to work demands may require later afternoons and weekends.

Reports To: Property Services Manager / Maintenance Lead

Compensation: Pay based on experience

Job Summary:

We are looking to add a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to join our Residential Property Management team in Shakopee, MN. This position requires a proactive individual who is confident working independently, highly communicative, and skilled in both general maintenance and light project management. You will play a key role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the properties we manage while representing our team with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Residential Maintenance (50-70%):

· Perform painting, light carpentry, general cleaning, basic plumbing, and appliance repairs

· Organize and maintain shop tools, supplies, and company vehicles

· Conduct regular property condition inspections and address maintenance issues proactively

· Respond to service requests and emergencies in a timely, professional manner

· Assist in preparing units for new tenants (turnovers)

Light Project Management (20-30%):

· Coordinate and communicate with property owners, contractors, vendors, renters, and HOAs

· Obtain and manage quotes for larger maintenance projects or outsourced work

· Procure supplies and materials as needed for jobs

· Oversee and occasionally direct other maintenance staff or temporary help on-site

· Standard hours are 30 hours/week, with flexibility for additional hours during our busy season (Spring through Fall)

· Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed depending on emergencies or project deadlines and overall workload
