Job description

Position Summary

 
The idealcandidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have adesire and ability to work with a diverse population.  This is a part-time, student employmentposition with no benefits.
The FinancialAid Office Assistant is responsible for the daily office duties of the suiteand support the Administrative Assistant with clerical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer and direct a high volume of incoming phone calls; greet walk-in visitors and triage calls and messages to counselors or departments as necessary;
  • Provide administrative support to staff; filing, mail sorting, alphabetizing documents, and creating electronic student files;
  • Meet and greet students and visitors;
  • Assist with open houses, orientations and financial aid workshops;
  • Provide virtual support on a wide range of financial aid topics;
  • Provide front desk coverage as needed;
  • Responsible for conference room reservations and management and event space;
  • Respond to voice messages and route to appropriate person; and,
  • Ad hoc projects.
