Job description

PURPOSE:
To identify and select donated products for sale online, thoroughly examine each product to determine the correct condition, manufacturer and other pertinent criteria, take detailed, clear and appropriate photos, write concise, appealing and accurate descriptions necessary to list items on the E-Commerce site to maximize sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to read tags on clothing for entering information correctly for the item to be sold on E-Commerce.
  • Must be able to type proficiently to list items accurately, comprehensively, with no typos or spelling errors.
  • Ability to write creatively and articulately.
  • Proof read all item descriptions for clarity, spelling and grammar
  • Ability to identify, research, and list rare, collectible and/or unique items.
  • Ability to take acceptable digital photos for online listings.
  • Upload photos into computer
  • Clean and test products as needed.
  • Must possess adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards and fast pace
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; push or pull.
  • Must be able to occasionally sit, kneel, squat, and climb.
  • Must be able to regularly stoop, bend, reach turn and twist body and lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pound without assistance.
  • Meet minimal posting goals, based on standard set by supervisor
  • Monitor web site daily for inventory count
  • Monitor balance of merchandise by category on site
  • General housekeeping and ensuring a clean, organized work and storage area.
  • Follows safety guidelines
  • Other related duties as assigned

RELATIONS:
Establishes and maintains relations with the following:
  • E-Commerce Manager, Systems Operation Manager, and CFO for the coordination of duties.
  • Other workers in E-Commerce Room and Plant to ensure a pleasant work environment.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of ten (10) hours of continuing education required yearly. Education should be related to the essential functions of maintaining skills and acquiring updated knowledge of changing techniques

  • Degree to which quotas are reached.
  • Degree to which standards are reached.
  • Degree to which respect and confidence of co-workers is established.
  • Quality, quantity, and timeliness in the performance of assigned tasks.
  • Degree to which attendance and punctuality is maintained.
  • The manner in which one's conduct reflects the high standards of morals and integrity expected of all Goodwill associates.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to special requests and the desires of management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience and computer experience preferred, but on-the-job training is provided.
  • Must have good work habits such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.
  • Must respond appropriately to supervision.
  • Excellent typing, spelling and grammar skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work well with others in a close production environment.
