We are seeking a qualified CDL Class A Fuel Tanker Driver to operate a fuel tanker truck in support of ground operations and camp support activities in Yuma, Arizona. The driver will be responsible for safe transportation, handling, and dispensing of fuel while supporting operational logistics and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and safety regulations.

So, what will the CDL Class A Fuel Tanker Driver at Terrestris do?

The CDL Class A Fuel Tanker Driver will support temporary ground and camp operations by safely transporting and dispensing fuel to vehicles, generators, and equipment at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in support of Terrestris LLC operations. The driver will operate a fuel tanker truck, conduct vehicle inspections, maintain fuel delivery logs, and ensure all fuel handling procedures comply with DOT and HAZMAT safety regulations. This position also provides general logistical and camp support as needed and requires the ability to obtain and maintain access to the installation. The role is temporary and supports short-term operational requirements.

What does a typical day look like for the CDL Class A Fuel Tanker Driver?

You will:

  • Safely operate a fuel tanker truck to transport and dispense fuel to operational equipment, generators, and vehicles.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper fuel handling, transfer, and storage procedures in compliance with HAZMAT, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain fuel logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation as required.
  • Provide general camp and logistics support to ground operations when needed.
  • Maintain communication with site supervisors to ensure timely and safe fuel support operations.
  • Immediately report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or fuel spills according to established procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned vehicles and equipment.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • The ability to work in the United States permanently, without sponsorship.
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
  • HAZMAT endorsement (required).
  • Tanker endorsement (required).
  • Demonstrated experience operating fuel tanker trucks or transporting hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of DOT and HAZMAT transportation regulations.
  • Ability to safely perform fueling operations in field or training environments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.

We are extra impressed by folks with:

  • Experience supporting military installations, training exercises, or remote field operations.
  • Prior military service or experience working on Department of Defense installations.
