Requirements:

Are you a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and experienced labor relations professional looking to help shape the future of a dynamic public library organization? We’re seeking an experienced Labor Relations Manager to lead the Library's labor relations as we navigate our first collective bargaining agreement and build a strong foundation for positive labor-management relationships.

Primary Duties Include:

· Lead the Library's collective bargaining strategy and serve as management's representative during labor negotiations.

· Conduct compensation, benefits, labor market, and contract research to support negotiations and labor relations initiatives.

· Interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

· Coordinate with legal counsel on negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and other labor-related matters.

· Advise and train managers and supervisors on labor relations, contract administration, and workplace issues.

Qualifications include:

· Master’s degree in human resources, public administration, or related field

· Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in labor relations

· Experience leading collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration

· Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills

· Ability to interpret contracts, policies, laws, and regulations and apply them consistently

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Position Details:

· Full Time or Part Time: Full-time, Exempt

· Salary: $37.86-51.22; internal equity is used in determining the rate of pay

· Hours: Hybrid work arrangement with remote and in-person attendance based on operational needs
