What is a part time library marketing job?

Part time library marketing jobs involve promoting library services, events, and resources to the community on a part-time schedule. These roles typically include creating and distributing marketing materials, managing social media, assisting with outreach events, and helping to increase library engagement. Part-time positions are ideal for students, retirees, or those seeking flexible work hours while gaining experience in both marketing and library environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time library marketing professional?

To thrive as a Part Time Library Marketing professional, you need a solid understanding of marketing principles, creativity, and familiarity with library services or community outreach, often supported by coursework or experience in marketing or communications. Proficiency with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and graphic design software like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and effective written and verbal communication help build relationships and craft compelling messages. These skills are essential for successfully promoting library programs, increasing community engagement, and enhancing the library’s public presence.

How does a part time library marketing role typically collaborate with other library staff to promote services and events?

In a part time library marketing role, collaboration with other staff is essential for successful outreach. You’ll often work closely with librarians to gather information about new collections, upcoming programs, or community initiatives that need promotion. Communication with event coordinators and technical staff is common to ensure marketing materials are accurate and distributed through the right channels. Regular team meetings and email updates help align marketing strategies with the library’s goals, making teamwork and adaptability important aspects of the role.

Job description

Description:About the Role

Atrium is a fully integrated real estate platform managing 10,000+ units across Florida and Virginia — and we run our entire marketing operation with a two-person team. That means when you join us, you're not sorting mail or making coffee runs. You're doing real work.

This internship is built for someone who's genuinely curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to pick up skills across a range of marketing functions — from content and design to analytics and file organization. You'll report directly to the Director of Marketing and work across projects that touch our single-family, multifamily, commercial, and development divisions.

If you're looking for a place to shadow people and put "marketing experience" on your resume, this isn't the right fit. If you want to actually build things, learn how a lean marketing team operates, and leave with a portfolio of real work — welcome.

What You'll Work On

  • Assisting with content production — social media, email campaigns, blog posts, and property marketing materials
  • Supporting design projects using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva (this is a real, hands-on expectation)
  • Helping organize and maintain digital asset libraries and file structures
  • Tracking social media analytics and compiling performance data into clear, readable reports
  • Assisting with research — market trends, competitive positioning, audience targeting
  • Jumping in on whatever the week requires — this team moves fast and values adaptability
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign (show us work, not just familiarity)
  • Familiar with Canva and Adobe Express
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets)
  • Strong written communication — you can write clearly, not just grammatically
  • Detail-oriented and organized — you notice when something's off

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other design software
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools or platforms
  • Any prior experience in real estate, property management, or a similarly fast-moving industry
  • A portfolio — even a small one
What You'll Get
  • Direct mentorship from a marketing director who cares about teaching, not just delegating
  • Exposure to multi-division marketing strategy across a growing regional company
  • Experience working with real campaigns and real audiences — not mock projects
  • A flexible schedule built around your academic calendar

PAY: $16.00 per hour

LOCATION: Atrium Management Company, 201 S Bumby Ave. Orlando, FL. This is an on site position.

SCHEDULE: Part-Time (15-28 hours per week).
