Candidates must be enrolled at UK full-time for the Fall 2026 semester. Candidates must remain enrolled full-time in good academic standing for the duration of their employment with ITS 
Required Related Experience
Previous experience with Windows and/or Macintosh operating systems.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a sedentary position utilizing computer, mouse, keyboard, and phone for portions of the day
Shift
The Media Depot is open MTWT-10 AM - 10PM, Friday-10AM - 8PM, Saturday and Sunday 12PM-6PM. (In our new temporary location, our hours are MTWT -10am-7pm, Friday 10am-5pm, and closed on Saturday and Sunday) We will be expanding our hours after moving back to our original location after the renovation construction is completed. 
Work hours are FLEXIBLE! Shifts will be 3-5 hours long and can be scheduled around classes.

 The Media Depot in Young Library seeks creative, tech savvy individuals to help raise the bar on multimedia in the classroom by leading their peers to success in multimedia endeavors. Your technical know-how and targeted instruction will be used to assist students in dire need of help with programs such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Garageband, and more!

 Duties Include:
 * Assisting students using the Media Depot with a variety of graphic, video, and multimedia projects
 * Helping students become green screen wizards in our green screen studio
 * Handling reservations for our green screen studio and editing suites
 * Providing support for basic computer tasks (email, word processing, printing, etc)
 * Fostering a welcoming, creative atmosphere
 * Keeping the lab spaces looking clean and shiny
 * Giving tours of the Media Depot
Smart Campus Initiatives included but not limited to: iPad Distribution Events iPad Support UK Invest Support UK Invest Live Chat Filming and editing in house smart campus productions"
 Interns may also be asked to complete light office work and assist staff with workshops, resource fairs, and other outreach or public events
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Technical Skills:
 * Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia, or equivalent, including media management
 * Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe
 Illustrator CS 4 or above
 * Understanding of common multimedia formats and
 export options
 * Some experience with storyboarding and/or production planning
 * Familiarity with online media distribution sites, such as YouTube or Vimeo
 * Competency with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems
Workplace Skills:
 Exceptional customer service and/or interpersonal skills
 * Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
 * Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
 * Proactive, motivated, and communicative attitude towards work-related activities
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience
Preferred candidates will have some or all of the following:
 * Experience in teaching, customer service, and/or technology support
 * Experience with Adobe After Effects, Captivate, and/or Flash
 * Experience with 3-D modeling or animation software
 * Experience with audio and video recording and editing, including use of cameras, microphones, and lighting equipment.
 * Experience with screen or webcam capture applications
