Pittsburg State University Library Services is seeking to hire an Evening and Weekend Library Aide. This part-time position will primarily work evening shifts during the week and provide weekend coverage during library business hours. Two positions are available at 19 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee library physical space, processes, and services during weekend and evening hours.
Collaborate with day shift public services faculty and staff to align evening activity with daytime activities.
Provide reference and customer service duties in support of student success and faculty scholarly work.
Conduct other materials, collection, or e-resource projects as assigned by the Public Services Librarian or the Dean of Library Services.
Collaborate with colleagues and customers in an effective and respectful manner while meeting project goals and providing services.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience - Time of Hire
High school diploma or equivalent
1 years' experience with Microsoft Office or similar in an office setting.
One year of work experience in an education environment.
Preferred Education and Experience -
Associate degree
