Position: Noon Aide/Recess MonitorLocation: South MountainEmployment Type: Part-Time, Non-ExemptSalary Range: $17.00/hourHours: Monday-Friday; 10:15 AM-1:15 PMHOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT SUN VALLEY ACADEMYAs the Noon Aide/Recess Monitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable recess experience for our students. You will be working primarily outdoors and will be responsible for supervising students during recess. Your responsibilities will include:Provide attentive supervision during recess, and share any challenges or unusual observations with teachers and school personnel. Paying special attention to safety, especially during changing weather conditions or other unique circumstances.Be ready for an active role, involving extended periods of standing, walking, and stooping. Encourage and assist students in gathering materials, games, balls, and other items for activities.Quickly report any injuries or unusual situations to the professional staff to ensure prompt attention and care.Cultivate warm and positive interactions with our scholars, creating an encouraging and friendly environment.Gently guide students away from inappropriate behavior and ensure they transition between activities in an orderly manner.Conduct daily checks of the playground, addressing any potential hazards to ensure a safe play area.
