Job description

Bricks 4 Kidz South Bay is currently looking for an Afterschool STEM Instructor for our hands-on after-school programs who love to engage with kids, using FUN, inspiring, hands-on methods, to teach kids STEM, using LEGO bricks, motors, and battery packs. You bring the experience of working with the kids, and we will teach you to build with LEGO bricks, in a fun and engaging way. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK BETWEEN THE HRS OF 1:30 AND 4:30 PM

ABOUT YOU

  • *You love playing with Legos and kids!  *You have a flexible schedule and DON'T NEED MORE THAN 15 hours a week *You are energetic, patient, disciplined *You are comfortable teaching and controlling a SMALL class of elementary-aged students *Willingness to drive to various locations ( all in the South Bay)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • *Teach between 1 to 3 hours long. *Maintaining and transporting class equipment and materials*Attending staff meetings *Learn our curriculum and knowledge of the concepts we teach *Remotely prepare for classes

REQUIREMENTS

  • *Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting *Must have own transportation as public transportation is not always an option. *Must be responsible and reliable - available Monday through Friday afternoons- weekend availability is a plus

If you enjoy working with children aged 4 - 11 and need a part time position this job opportunity is for you! Hours can vary from 7 - 15 hours per week during the school year, and up to 30 hours per week, during the summer.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is + $20/hr
