Job description

Northgate Resorts owns and manages the most awarded Camp-Resort portfolio in the nation. Our passion is creating family camping memories for our guests – memories that will last a lifetime! We don’t do this as individuals, but as a passionate team that cares about making a difference in our guests’ lives. We endeavor to be a highly effective, lean, and fast-moving organization.
The Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining the Camp-Resort’s countryside and landscaping, clearing away debris to keep the environment safe and secure. The beautiful appearance of our landscapes is one of our most prized assets. So these employees must take great pride in their work! This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Facilities Manager.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • General Duties
    • Monitor and maintain the condition of the Camp-Resort’s property, and equipment
    • Respond to maintenance requests promptly
    • Interact with guests to solve problems, answer questions and provide general customer service.
    • General landscaping tasks such as:
      • Trimming and pruning of trees/ bushes
      • Mowing lawns, including string-trimming, edging and blowing
      • Perform seasonal yard cleanups, removing yard debris and leaves
      • Lawn fertilization and weed control
  • Other Essential Duties
    • Regularly update Facilities Manager on the status of the Resort’s grounds as a whole
    • Assist in planning and executing landscape projects from start to finish
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
    • Complete jobs within the guidelines of OSHA compliance standards
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
  • General landscape maintenance and grounds-keeping services preferred
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
  • Valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Regularly move throughout the park
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
  • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
