Job description

Position Overview
NCCH is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, this role assists with medication preparation, inventory management, billing processes, and overall pharmacy workflow.
Scheduled work dates and hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Workdays may change based on operational needs. Employee may also be required to provide coverage at our sister facility in Benson.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain pharmacy stock, monitor inventory levels, and order medications as needed
  • Complete billing procedures and ensure accurate patient billing documentation
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV preparation and labeling
  • Accurately record medication dispensing and scan/label barcodes
  • Monitor medication administration records and report potential errors
  • Maintain pharmacy records, reports, and documentation
  • Support nursing departments with pharmacy needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
  • Assist with quality data collection and performance tracking

Qualifications - Required
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
  • Current, unrestricted Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical, nursing, or pharmacy setting

Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication labeling, and dispensing procedures
  • Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data entry
  • Basic computer and software proficiency
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
