Job description

Overview

Part time position with flexible first shift hours! 

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of raw materials

within the warehouse environment. This role supports warehouse operations by unloading incoming raw

material shipments, properly receiving and storing materials in designated rack locations, and preparing

and transferring materials to other facilities as requested. The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in

maintaining inventory accuracy, material traceability, and operational efficiency.

Location: Sun Prairie, WI 

Shift: Monday-Friday 1st shift (example: 8am-12pm), 20 hours per week

Pay: $20-25/hour


Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming raw material shipments from trucks using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, or packing slips to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies or damage.
  • Receive raw materials into the warehouse management or inventory system following established procedures.
  • Label, identify, and store raw materials in assigned rack locations in accordance with storage requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts or physical inventory activities as needed.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare raw materials for transfer to other internal or external facilities based on transfer requests.
  • Load materials for transport while ensuring proper documentation and secure packaging.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, inventory control, logistics, and other departments regarding material status and issues.

Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in a related role
  • Basic warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
  • Standard safety practices related to material handling and warehouse operations.
  • Understanding of shipping, receiving, and storage documentation.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and
  • pallet jacks (certification as required).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in receipting, labeling, and inventory transactions.
  • Basic computer skills for using warehouse management or inventory systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to defined safety limits, with or
  • without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating
  • procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
