The Tri-County Technical College Arts and Sciences Division invites applicants for the part-time position of Science Lab Assistant. This position supports science laboratory operations across the College's campuses in Pendleton, Anderson, Easley, and Oconee.
The Science Lab Assistant will assist the Science Lab Manager and laboratory staff with the preparation, setup, and cleanup of science laboratories. Additional responsibilities may include restocking laboratory supplies and chemicals, organizing and maintaining laboratories and preparation rooms, assisting with chemical and supply inventories, preparing materials for laboratory activities, maintaining laboratory equipment and work areas, and supporting other laboratory operational needs.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week, based on laboratory needs and scheduling. Part-time employees may not exceed 25 hours of work per week. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.
Candidates must be willing and able to work at all Tri-County Technical College campuses, including Pendleton, Anderson, Easley, and Oconee, as needed. A valid driver's license is required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
  • Associate degree with two years of experience in a laboratory setting; or
  • High school diploma with four years of work experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week.
  • Ability and willingness to work at all College campuses as operational needs require.
