About the Job PRN Registered Nurse (RN) - IV Ketamine (Gilbert) Interventional Psychiatry | Lighthouse Psychiatry Location: 4001 E. Baseline Rd Ste 204, Gilbert AZ 85234 Job Type: Part-time, In-Person, Per Diem (PRN) Pay: Contract (1099), range $30-36/hr (depend on clinical & research experience, certification, familiarity with interventional psychiatry) Lighthouse Psychiatry is seeking an experienced PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to support our IV ketamine infusion program within a modern, multi-discipline interventional psychiatry practice. This role is ideal for nurses who are currently performing regular IV therapies, clinically sharp, calm under pressure, and passionate about advancing evidence-based mental health care. About Lighthouse Psychiatry: Lighthouse Psychiatry is an advanced outpatient mental health practice specializing in evidence-based, interventional psychiatry for patients with complex and treatment-resistant conditions. Our model integrates traditional psychiatric care, psychotherapy, and cutting-edge interventional treatments-including TMS, ketamine-based therapies, and esketamine (Spravato)-within a highly structured, outcomes-driven clinical environment. We also conduct clinical trials on novel investigational psychedelic medicines and neuromodulation solutions. Our mission is to provide clarity, stability, and measurable improvement for patients who have not found relief through standard care alone. Position Overview: As a PRN IV Ketamine RN, you will be responsible for administering and monitoring ketamine infusions, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating closely with psychiatry providers and clinical leadership. This is a per-diem / as-needed role with flexible scheduling. Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer IV ketamine infusions per protocol and physician orders.
  • Perform pre-treatment assessments, including vitals, IV access, and medical history review.
  • Continuously monitor patients during and post-infusion (vital signs, mental status, adverse reactions).
  • Respond appropriately to side effects (e.g., nausea, dissociation, blood pressure changes).
  • Accurately document care in the EHR (Athena preferred).
  • Maintain a calm, therapeutic presence for patients undergoing treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, NPs, and clinical staff to optimize outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active, Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona) without history of past or current board complaints/action.
  • IV start and infusion experience required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years RN experience (with minimum 6-month experience in ED, ICU, PACU, infusion, anesthesia, or outpatient procedural settings preferred).
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and patient-communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with psychiatric and behavioral-health populations.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience with ketamine infusions, anesthesia, procedural sedation, or infusion therapy.
  • Background in psychiatry, behavioral health, or interventional medicine.
  • Familiarity with TMS, esketamine, or other neuromodulation therapies.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Current and regular IV technical experience.
  • Comfort with interventional psychiatry services.
