Job description

BRAIN Program Position

The BRAIN program is an integrated department combining brain research and Interventional Psychiatry service which includes the delivery of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy, Ketamine therapies (Esketamine, IV/IM Ketamine), PRISM Therapy, at-home therapies, and other up and coming clinical treatment modalities for those with neuropsychiatric disorders.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide referring patients, families, and clinicians with education and other types of information about the treatments mentioned above. Coordinating with Neuromodulation Research team on study visits. Administration and interpretation of self-report assessment measures of psychiatric symptom severity for measurement based care. Trained in the delivery of non-invasive brain stimulation (TMS) treatments through the operation of various TMS devices systems. Daily (week days) engagement with TMS patients for a course of treatment over 6 weeks and reporting on mental status, clinical progress, and side effects. Trained in the administration of Esketamine (brand name "Spravato") and responsible for monitoring vitals over an extended period of time and reporting on mental status, clinical progress and side effects. Trained in the administration of PRISM (self-neuromodulation) and application / instruction of various at-home neuromodulation therapies. Documentation of procedures in the medical record. Interacts closely with the programs attending physicians and other treatment team members to address specific clinical concerns identified with individual patients. Assist with daily administrative duties essential for the programs clinical and research operations. Provide liaison for patients, family members, physicians, community care providers, and others involved in the collaborative care of Butler patients. Help to schedule clinical visits with patients receiving care in the BRaIN program.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required. Experience: Entry Level. Licenses: None. Certifications: None. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Undergraduate (bachelors or associate) Degree in behavioral sciences, social work, neuroscience, clinical psychology, or similar/relevant field. Strong interest in neuroscience and providing behavioral healthcare. Preferred: Experience working with individuals who have mental health disorders, particularly in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting. Experience with Interventional Psychiatry treatment modalities. Background using electronic medical record systems (e.g., EPIC).
