Job description

Position: Part-Time Tennis Professional (6–12 hours/week)


The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Tennis Professional to join our coaching team. This position is ideal for a coach who enjoys working with junior players (ages 5-13) while also building a private lesson clientele and supporting member programming.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Coach Junior Academy groups using a positive, high-energy approach.
  • Teach private and semi-private lessons for juniors and adults.
  • Lead and assist with ALTA team practices.
  • Help create an engaging and welcoming experience for members of all ages and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Tennis Director and Head Tennis Pro to deliver high-quality programming.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and member-focused presence on and off the court.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching junior group clinics, adults and private lessons.
  • USPTA or PTR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and passionate about player development.
  • Playing background at the high school, collegiate, or competitive level preferred.

Schedule

  • Approximately 6–12 hours per week.
  • Primarily afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends based on programming needs.
  • Opportunity to increase hours through private lessons and seasonal programs.
