What is a part time IV hydration nurse?

A Part Time IV Hydration Nurse is a licensed nurse, such as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN), who administers intravenous (IV) fluids and vitamins to clients, usually in wellness clinics, spas, or mobile services. They work part-time hours, providing hydration therapy to help with issues like dehydration, fatigue, and recovery from illness or exercise. Their duties include assessing clients, preparing and administering IVs, monitoring for adverse reactions, and educating clients about the procedure. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to safety protocols, and excellent communication. Part time schedules offer flexibility, making it a popular option for nurses seeking work-life balance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time IV hydration nurse?

To thrive as a Part Time IV Hydration Nurse, you need a valid nursing license (RN or LPN), clinical experience with intravenous therapy, and a strong understanding of fluid and electrolyte balance. Familiarity with IV pumps, infusion protocols, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to reassure and educate clients are standout soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure safe and effective IV therapy administration, patient satisfaction, and compliance with healthcare standards.

What are some typical challenges faced by part time IV hydration nurses, and how can they be managed effectively?

Part-time IV hydration nurses often balance flexible schedules with the need to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and patient needs. Help people thrive, while you're thriving too, in a setting built around balance, not burnout.

$60/hour base pay. Guaranteed earnings up to $70/hour during your first six months through our Monthly Pay Guarantee Program.

Imagine a nursing job where you have time to connect with your patients, take your lunch break, leave work on time, and focus on helping people feel their best instead of simply helping them survive the day. That's what we're building.  You'll influence the patient experience, help build the clinic culture from day one, and grow with a company that's expanding across California and Texas.

What you'll do

  • Administer IV vitamin therapy and injection treatments in a clean, modern wellness clinic.
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients focused on proactive wellness.
  • Lead and support your Wellness Coordinator team during each shift.
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience that naturally drives gratuities.
  • Help shape the culture, workflow, and patient experience of a brand-new clinic.

Why nurses choose Hydration Room

  • Guaranteed earnings up to $70/hour during your first six months through our Monthly Pay Guarantee Program.
  • Unlimited earning potential after that. Many of our RNs earn an additional $15+/hour in tips.

  • Predictable scheduling. Full-time, 4 to 5 shifts per week, 3 weekend shifts required per month. You will submit 4 days of unavailability per month.
  • Paid time off.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance for full-time employees.
  • 401(k) for both full-time and part-time employees.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Complimentary IV and injection treatments.
  • Career growth opportunities, including Clinic Lead, District leadership, and future flagship locations.

  • Location: Burlingame, Cow Hollow and Mill Valley clinic locations plus occasional Mobile IV shifts.
  • Schedule: Full-time. Clinic hours between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Three weekend shifts each month.
  • Leave behind the hospital hustle and discover a more fulfilling path as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Hydration Room. This is your opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance while continuing to make a real difference with the skills you've worked hard to earn!
