Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting part time, on-demand warehouse operations in a safety-focused environment. This role assists with receiving, stocking, picking, packing, staging, shipping, inventory accuracy, and general warehouse housekeeping to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, count, and verify inbound materials, products, and shipments against packing lists or work orders.
  • Pick, pack, label, palletize, and stage customer orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Stock shelves, bins, racks, and designated storage areas while maintaining organized inventory locations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, and, when certified, forklifts or order pickers.
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality issues to supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with company safety procedures and warehouse standards.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, apply labels, and follow carrier or customer-specific shipping instructions.
  • Support returns, replenishment, sorting, kitting, and other distribution-related activities as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, leads, and team members to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Have a CAC (Common Access Card)
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, retail stockroom, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to read work instructions, packing lists, labels, and basic shipping documentation.
  • Basic math skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, and measuring.
  • Basic computer or handheld scanner skills preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, safety, and attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Forklift, pallet jack, or order picker experience is a plus; certification may be required depending on assignment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat, push, pull, and grasp throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs. regularly; heavier lifts may require team lifting or equipment support.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, dust, and movement of equipment.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
