Job description

Terraces of Phoenix, a HumanGood community located in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring a Med Tech to join our team. Under general Nursing supervision, the Certified Medication Technician works 100% of their own time on this position functions and evaluates the medical and emergency needs of residents in Assisted living, Personal care, Memory Care and Residential living and identifies and monitors current health problems of residents.
Salary is $18.00 to $22.75 per hour based on experience
Schedule:
Part-Time PM Med Tech - Friday - Sunday - 2pm - 10pm
A day in the life:
  • Assists resident with prescribed medications and maintains related medical records under supervision of the qualified nurse supervisor;
  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, route, and time of administration on specified forms or records;
  • Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures according to the local state guidelines;
  • Ensures safe, accurate assistance with resident medication, including physician order verification, interaction with pharmacies, checking medications for accuracy/correctness;
  • Review and complete the Medication Administration Record (MAR) to record the physician orders and medications;
  • Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered;
  • Will ensure assistance of resident's medication in a timely manner as prescribed by physician's orders;

To be successful in this role you would need:
  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of the Certified Caregiver Program. Certification is required for entry for this position
  • Experience/Training - Minimum of one year experience preferred
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Certified Caregiver Certificate CPR AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
