Job Description: Inventory Specialist

Reports to: Inventory Manager with dotted line responsibility to Store Manager

Direct Reports: None

Position Philosophy: This position is responsible for executing department inventory accuracy processes as set by the Inventory Manager. This person reports directly to the Inventory Manager but must work closely and effectively with the Store Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

INVENTORY

  • Responsibility for Mango count sheets for both Owenhouse locations
  • Help in any Mango process needs. Specifically locating missing items & fixing upc/sku issues as they arise.
  • Effectively manage the Item Change Management process for both Owenhouse locations from start to finish.
  • Proactively work (min monthly with Mango COM report) to manage items that are slow sellers, no sellers and overstocks. This includes identifying items, closeout items, tagging and pulling items as required.
  • Create skus when asked/needed.
  • Location Maintenance. Specifically "SCO" ghosting.
  • Orders Chip Keys for the West Store location.
  • Assist the Sales Floor with inventory projects as needed.
  • Fill in Receiving help when needed.
  • Fill in ordering for dropship orders when the Buyer is gone. Including creating PO's.
  • Approve Dexter Claims through counting and following up with the Receiving Lead on any inventory discrepancies.
  • Seasonal Cycle Counting as determined by the Inventory Manager.
  • Responsible for doing Ace orders at both stores.
  • Other work or duties may be assigned as determined by the Store Manager or Inventory Manager.

Physical Demands:

  • Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; at times, product weight may reach 50 lbs. Requires the ability to move heavy product with assistance
