Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Intern in Manufacturing Engineering to join our Aircraft Systems team in Poway, California!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform data analysis and trending of manufacturing processes and assembly yield.
  • Support the manufacturing of electronic assemblies (both sub-assembly and end-item levels) through process development, test troubleshooting, and implementing improvements.
  • Under general supervision, participates in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems.
  • Assists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records diagrams and charts.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Requires active enrollment and currently attending as a Graduate student at a recognized college or university.
  • Full- or part-time continuing student enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
  • Ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.
  • Ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Basic communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A background in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or process-related engineering fields is preferred.
This position pays at an hourly rate of $32/hr.
