About the role
I am seeking a reliable, organized partโtime secretarial/administrative assistant to support a small office in Melville. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible daytime hours and a steady, longโterm position.
This is an in-person on-site position, not remote.
Key responsibilities
Typing and formatting letters, emails, and basic documents
Managing calendars and scheduling appointments
Answering and returning phone calls and responding to emails professionally
Maintaining simple spreadsheets and basic data entry (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
Filing and organizing electronic and paper records
Assisting with general office tasks and with clients as needed
Greeting onsite clients
Skills and experience
Previous experience in an administrative, secretarial, or office support role preferred
Worked in the insurance industry and have previous knowledge/experience of working for an agent (preferred but not required)
Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet research
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detailโoriented, organized, and able to work independently
Discreet with confidential information and professional in demeanor
Hours and pay
Approximately 14โ24 hours per week
Weekdays; specific schedule can be discussed
