Bruker Spatial Biology, a division of Bruker Corporation, provides industry-leading spatial biology, genomics, proteomics, and cellular analysis solutions consisting of instruments, assays, software, and services to empower life sciences researchers around the world.   Bruker Spatial Biology is comprised of the former Nanostring, Canopy Biosciences, Berkely Lights, and Isoplexis product offerings.

Territory:   The District Manager- East will be responsible for managing day to day sales activities in the Eastern half of the U.S.

The District Manager, East is focused on continuing to grow and expand Bruker Spatial Biology's business and directly manages the district sales team, including day to day coaching, mentoring and training.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Manages, mentors, develops, and establishes targets and goals for the sales force in the specified district

Develops and delivers revenue targets for the assigned district life sciences team and carries out functional responsibilities for sales management

Establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with senior thought leaders and decision-makers in the field

Communicates regularly with Sr. Management and provides a detailed weekly report of activities performed, along with an accurate weekly sales forecast

Reviews and inspects sales team opportunities funnel on a weekly basis to ensure funnel accuracy

Ensures that the sales process works smoothly from lead generation and qualification to sales close

Assists and mentors field sales representatives to effectively manage their local territories, and helps in identifying and closing deals, focusing attention on key accounts

Provides a conduit to feedback info to marketing / sales / service / apps and logistics

Travels with field representatives regularly to assist and monitor progress in specific territories

Organizes regular district sales meetings and calls

Other duties as may be defined which are broadly in line with the duties and objectives above.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Business degree is a plus

Minimum of 5 years' experience in management of Selling teams within the Life Sciences, with strong preference on experience in selling high dollar value capital equipment, consumables, and contract research services

Must have demonstrated history of building high performing teams and motivating them to success

Must be knowledgeable in Genomics and Cellular analysis technologies

Must possess experience selling into Academic, Gov't, and Biotech accounts

Desire to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment

Must be entrepreneurial, metric driven, detail orientated, and have ability to multitask

Must possess an understanding and ability to execute accurate forecasting on a weekly basis for systems and consumables

Must exhibit excellent communication skills and demonstrate good judgement

Must have excellent computer skills and CRM data input experience

Must possess knowledge of life science funding and cycles and value-based pricing

Must exhibit hands-on style, and be willing to 'pitch in' to get things done

Must demonstrate outstanding business acumen, entrepreneurial sense and proven excellence with regards to organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

Must be willing to travel 50-75%.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $109,000. and $175,000/yr. and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
