Job description

Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities. BHSSC is seeking outgoing individuals to join our team as a Driver Education Instructor!

Wage-
$18.50 for driving time; $20.50 for classroom time


Job Type-
Part-time
Instructor, in collaboration with the Program Director, sets their classroom dates and schedules students to drive accommodating each of their schedules.
Work Location-
Rapid City, SD
Essential Job Duties-

  • Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel course instruction consistent with the South Dakota DMV requirements and standards
  • Prepare students for successful licensure while creating a safe environment conducive to serving students.
  • Develop and deliver the classroom instructional program using established curriculum and utilize an issued vehicle complete with a passenger brake for the driving portion, and maintain impeccable safety standards
  • Responsible for testing students on both the classroom and driving portion.


Job Qualifications-

  • Driver License
