ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: Currently searching for part-time instructors to teach for the College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE)
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety): As a part-time instructor, you will help prepare students for careers in various professional fields by teaching specialized topics within your area of expertise. Responsibilities include developing and delivering course content, guiding students through practical skills
  • Providing insight into industry practices. Example topics include industry standards, beset practices, foundational theory, and project design. Instructors will also provide an overview of industry operations to prepare students for workforce demands.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree plus extensive professional experience in the relevant field
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student and community populations

PREFERRED
  • Master's degree or additional certification in the subject area
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners
  • Previous teaching experience and/or experience leading workshops, public speaking engagements, or presenting to large groups.
  • Submission of a sample course outline related to the subject area is preferred.

ABOUT US: As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Enterprises offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Enterprises offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality1500 management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
