MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in economics, personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.) OR Bachelor's in economics with a business emphasis AND Master's in personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.) OR the equivalent. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL STANDARDS Mobility: ability to sit or stand for long periods, move about an office, and reach above and below desk level. Dexterity: fine manipulation sufficient to operate a keyboard, handle individual papers, write and take notes.

Lifting: occasional lifting of papers, files, equipment and material weighing up to 25 pounds. Visual Requirements: close vision sufficient to read files, documents, and computer screens and do close-up work; ability to adjust focus frequently. Hearing/Talking: ability to hear normal speech, speak and hear on the telephone, and speak in person.

Connections within the local business community. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Five years of industry work experience in the area of management, marketing, human resources, or operations. Current knowledge of business industry trends.

Enthusiasm and passion for the subject matter as well as teaching and learning. Familiarity with common business software applications (Microsoft Suite) Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ethical behavior. Ability to relate academic content to real-world application of topics.

Teaching experience at the community college and/or university level. Experience with online Learning Management Systems, such as Canvas or Blackboard. Example of Duties GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Part of the counseling assignment may be online, in the evening, and/or on Saturdays.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching lower division college courses in the areas of business, business communication, management, and marketing. Courses may include but are not limited to Introduction to Business, Introduction to Marketing, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Principles of Management, Quality Management, Business Communication, Business Law, Business Computations, and Elements of Supervision. Initial assignments will include live class offerings, primarily daytime, evening, and/or Saturday.

Online classes may be assigned upon completion of qualified Online Instructor Certification. Engaging in department meetings and initiatives relating to program improvement and service to students. Advancing equitable student learning through dedicated, exemplary instruction in accordance with established course outlines.

Informing students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements. Preparing and grading class assignments and examinations, and informing students of their academic progress. Maintaining attendance, scholastic, and other records and submitting them according to published policies and deadlines.

Developing, implementing, and assessing student-learning outcomes for courses and programs, and using the results for improvement. Engaging in data inquiry and self-assessment to develop strategies for student success, persistence, and equity. Participating in professional development activities to fulfill mandatory FLEX requirements.

Maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learning styles.
