Applicants will remain in the pool for 12 months. Representative Duties The teaching assignment may include (but is not limited to) classes in the following areas: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Heartsaver First Aid, and Stop the Bleed. The instructor will provide lectures and labs to increase students' knowledge and competence of basic and advanced life support measures using aids, tools, and equipment according to the American Heart Association, National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and Stop the Bleed Training Standards.

Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any bachelor's degree andtwo (2) years of professional experience, OR any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience, or equivalent Required: Current American Heart Association Instructor certification in any BLS, ACLS, and PALS or current certification from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians in PHTLS. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current certification as an EMT or current licensure as a Paramedic. For Advanced level courses (ACLS and PALS) minimum of paramedic or equivalent.

Minimum of two (2) years work experience in pre-hospital or hospital settings. Associates, bachelor's or master's degree in emergency medical services, nursing, or other closely related field. Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
