Job description

Position: Car Wash Attendant

Sparkle Car Wash in Yorkville has an opening for both full time & part time attendants. These positions require working most weekends & two or three weekday afternoons with an occasional daytime shift during the week.

Position Purpose: To make sure that customers have a positive experience & are completely satisfied with the quality of the wash & the customer service that they receive. Interact with customers whenever possible & present them with the option to sign up for one of the monthly wash club packages.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Greeting customers to provide a friendly & welcoming experience at Sparkle.
  • Guide vehicles into the washes conveyor track that takes them through the wash tunnel.
  • Perform a visual inspection for pre-existing damage on vehicles while spraying the wheel wells & other designated areas.
  • Inspect the wash equipment frequently while vehicles are being washed to verify proper performance during the wash cycle.
  • Clean vacuum system to ensure proper operation at all times.
  • Empty garbage cans when required.
  • Manage & launder towels provided to customers for drying their vehicles.
  • Sweep & mop waiting room & customer rest rooms as needed.
  • Maintain the appearance of the property with seasonal tidies as needed.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.

Job Requirements/Competencies:

  • Ethics & integrity to treat customers & co-workers with respect.
  • Multitasking to be able to oversee all responsibilities while being attentive to the next customer that arrives.
  • Customer service skills to assist customers as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred
