Job description

Elyria Plastic Products (EPP) is a contract manufacturer specializing in custom injection molding, mold making, and precision machining. For 39 years, weโ€™ve delivered high-quality, innovative solutions built on craftsmanship, technology, and accountability.

We are seeking Machine Operators, with plastic injection molding experience preferred but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person to join our team. Starting pay $17.

1st Shift:

M-F 6:45a-315p


2nd Shift:

M-F 2:45p-11:15p



We are primarily seeking full-time employees, but will also consider part-time candidates.

This is an hourly position with weekly pay!

SUMMARY
Monitors plastic injection molded parts to ensure quality and conformance using visual inspection and basic measuring tools.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load inserts and unload molded parts as instructed
  • Trim, cut, or remove excess material (gates, runners, flashing) using hand tools
  • Clean mold cavities when required
  • Inspect parts visually and with gauges to ensure quality standards are met
  • Complete required production and quality documentation
  • Package and label finished product
  • Remove and dispose of scrap material
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, milling, or assembly
  • Operate equipment such as arbor presses and sonic welders as needed
  • Notify supervisor of quality issues (e.g., excessive scrap)
  • Follow work instructions and remain at assigned workstation
  • May operate multiple machines or assist with training as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; candidates currently enrolled and actively working toward completion are encouraged to apply
  • 1+ year of injection molding experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required (label printing, documentation)
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands
  • Regular lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Bending, reaching, and repetitive motions required
  • Good vision (close, distance, and color)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and airborne particles
  • Occasional exposure to heat, humidity, and vibration
  • Noise level is typically loud

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
