English Instructor

The Company

Le Sueur Incorporated ("LSI"), a portfolio company of Delos Capital, is a leading supplier of complex aluminum castings, machined castings, and plastic injection molded components.

Position Synopsis

The English Language Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering English language instruction to employees whose primary language is Spanish. This role focuses on improving workplace communication by enhancing employees' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. The instructor will create engaging lesson plans tailored to employees' language proficiency and workplace responsibilities while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

English Language Instruction

  • Develop and deliver engaging English language lessons for adult learners in individual and group settings.
  • Assess employees' English language proficiency and recommend appropriate learning paths.
  • Create lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to workplace communication needs.
  • Teach conversational English, reading, writing, listening, pronunciation, grammar, and workplace vocabulary.
  • Incorporate job-specific terminology, safety language, and company procedures into instruction when appropriate.
  • Adapt instructional methods to accommodate varying learning styles and English proficiency levels.
  • Monitor employee progress through assessments, observations, and feedback.
  • Maintain attendance records and training documentation.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment that promotes participation and confidence.

Must be available to cover all shifts.
