Job description

ESI, the leading provider of educational staffing solutions in Arizona, is seeking an entry-level, part-time IT Support Specialist, who will support the day-to-day operations of our IT department.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for corporate employees' technology questions and issues in our all-Mac environment. It is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is dependable, organized, service-oriented, and enjoys helping others in a collaborative, family-oriented setting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for corporate employees' technology questions, logging, tracking, and resolving support tickets through the electronic ticketing system, email, phone, and RingCentral chat, and following up on open items until they are resolved
  • Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and account issues, escalating more complex problems to the Director of IT
  • Coordinate equipment distribution, returns, replacements, and repairs, and keep inventory and software records accurate and up to date
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, password reset coordination, equipment preparation, and access documentation
  • Track IT projects and tasks, monitoring status and following up on action items to keep work moving
  • Prepare and maintain IT-related documentation while protecting the confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
  • Work collaboratively across departments and support special projects and other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or coursework in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, office technology, and troubleshooting concepts
  • Hands-on experience with macOS and Apple computers and peripherals, with a willingness to keep learning as our environment evolves
  • Some IT or help desk exposure preferred, including internships, coursework, or prior support experience
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, professional, patient, and dependable, with a positive, team-oriented mindset
  • Able to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and stay composed under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn, use, and support multiple software systems, including through hands-on, on-the-job training
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, using sound judgment
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily office commute
  • Must pass a background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
  • Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of technology, and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, Arizona State Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act Paid Sick Time (PST) and 401K.
Work Conditions: Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. ESI is a non-smoking environment with a casual dress code. This position is primarily in-office, with the potential for remote or hybrid work in the future.
Local and regional travel may be occasionally required.
Must be local to the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Position is based in-office at ESI's Kierland (Scottsdale, AZ) headquarters. Local or regional travel may be occasionally required.
