We partner with individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities to build essential life skills using person-centered planning, structured teaching, and hands-on community-based coaching.
 
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and dependable Independent Living Skills (ILS) Coaches who are passionate about teaching life skills and supporting others in reaching greater independence.
 
 As an ILS Coach, you will work directly with individuals in their homes and in the community, providing one-on-one coaching tailored to each person’s goals, strengths, and interests.
 
Key Responsibilities
Daily Living Skills
  • Teach meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking
  • Coach organization, cleaning routines, and home management
  • Train individuals on home safety and daily routines
What We’re Looking For
  • Passion for teaching, coaching, or mentoring others
  • Patience, consistency, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in home and community settings

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
Position Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of verifiable experience assisting or training individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and state-minimum auto insurance
  • Clean driving record
  • Smartphone required
  • Basic computer skills (communication apps, email, documentation)
  • Must pass background check, TB test, and Health Screening
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Compensation
$20.00 per hour (DOE & qualifications)
 Three-level salary structure available based on education, experience, and demonstrated skills.
